Chemical compositions and antioxidant activities of four different mushroom species collected from Turkey

Many researchers agree that edible mushrooms have beneficial effects on human health. The aim of this study is to investigate the chemical composition and antioxidant activities methanol extracts obtained from Coprinus comatus, Hydnum repandum, Agaricus impudicus ve Sarcodon imbricatus collected Yuvacık-İzmit, Kastamonu, Uzungöl-Trabzon. Spectrophotometric analysis showed total phenolic (64.69 mg GAEs/g) flavonoid (1.73 QEs/g) content S. was higher than others. In line with its superiority in phytochemical analyzes, extract highest activity -carotene bleaching, DPPH free radical scavenging reducing power assays (836.0, 89.0 267.0 TEs/g extract, respectively). Metal chelating test resulted A. (1282.0 TEs/g). Relative capacity index (RACI) value quite high compared other (0.90). Apart metal assay, there a correlation between their RACI values. Pearson phenolic/flavonoid contents over 0.9. brought literature for first time study. When data current were evaluated as whole, it concluded could be rich source new alternative compounds.
